Majazzty
Majazzty is an auditioned acapella choir that meets zero period before school. This choir sings a variety of contemporary choral music, pop music, and jazz. This choir is for Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass voices. These students sing in several community events throughout the year and also travel for festivals and sing for our annual “Valograms” fundraiser, which the funds raised help to benefit the choir program. Acapella choir is a great place for advanced singers to challenge themselves with singing together without instrument support.

Man Choir
Men's Choir at Hermiston High School is open to any student who identifies as male and is interested in developing their singing voice in a supportive and engaging environment. Students learn the fundamentals of vocal technique, music literacy, and ensemble performance while singing a variety of fun, energetic, and contemporary music. Whether you are an experienced singer or completely new to choir, Men's Choir is a great place to build confidence, make friends, and grow as a musician.

Elektra is Hermiston High School’s choir for students who identify as female and is open to singers of all experience levels. Students develop healthy vocal technique, music-reading skills, and ensemble musicianship while performing a variety of fun, uplifting, and engaging choral music. Whether you are new to singing or have years of experience, Elektra provides a welcoming environment to build confidence, make meaningful connections, and grow as a musician.

Chamber Choir
Chamber Choir is Hermiston High School’s premier mixed vocal ensemble, featuring advanced singers with both male and female voices. Membership is by audition and requires students to demonstrate strong pitch-matching skills, music-reading ability, and a commitment to musical excellence. Chamber Choir performs challenging collegiate-level choral literature, focusing on traditional and advanced repertoire while developing high-level musicianship and vocal artistry. As the school’s top choir, members represent Hermiston High School through travel, festivals, competitions, and special performances throughout the year.
